I thought I'd better update the blog to let you know how things are progressing.
The first stage of the beta test is going well, as we battle to get the game stable and basically playable. A few areas have had to have a rethink, but generally things are working as planned.
The practice and qualifying rounds can be intense, especially if they are limited to 1hour. I will have a bit of work cut out to make the live-race work with thousands of managers , so I may have to recode some of the game in C++ and open up a few sockets to connect to the database to ensure things run at an optimal speed with hundreds of people online, altering strategies.
